Makeva Watson
Adult And Couples Therapist
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from National-Louis University and over 24 years of experience supporting adults and couples on their journey toward healing and growth. My approach is rooted in collaboration, compassion, and honoring the uniqueness of every person I work with.
In addition to traditional therapeutic techniques, I offer Christian counseling for those who wish to integrate their faith into the therapeutic process. I believe in meeting my clients where they are—respecting their differences, values, and beliefs—and creating a space that fosters transparency, trust, and self-discovery.
Whether you’re navigating life’s transitions, relationship challenges, or seeking personal growth, our work together is a partnership. I encourage my clients to play an active role in their healing, identifying meaningful goals and the steps to reach them. In this partnership, we uncover what wholeness looks like for you—mentally, emotionally, and spiritually—free from judgment or shame.
One of my favorite quotes is by Mark Twain: “The two most important days in your life are the day you were born and the day you figure out why.” My goal is to walk alongside you as you uncover your “why,” embrace your story, and move toward a life that reflects your true self.
